BARGAINING UPDATE- JUNE 12, 2024

June 12, 2024

Hello all Toromont Concord Members,

I am reaching out today to provide you with some information regarding the Ratification Vote on the most resent round of collective bargaining. As you are aware the company has asked that the vote to be held through the Ministry of Labour.

The Contract you will be voting on tomorrow, is the exact same contract voted down on Sunday, June 2, 2024, by 90%. I would encourage all members that if they still feel the same way about this contract, to vote NO once again and force this company to deliver a contract with fair wages and compensation for the labour you provide.

This is a crucial moment in time, where Unions across North America are seeing wage increases once never thought possible. But members must stay strong and not be divided. Together we can tell Toromont that enough is enough!

Following the results of the Vote on Friday, we will be providing you with another communication on next steps.

Please see below for voting information.

METHOD OF VOTE

The vote will be conducted ONLINE and by TELEPHONE.

VOTE DATE(S)

The vote starts on June 13, 2024 at 2:00 PM and ends on June 14, 2024 at

2:00 PM (Eastern Time).

VOTE INSTRUCTIONS

A personal identification number (“PIN) is needed to vote. Eligible voters will

receive an email containing their confidential PIN and detailed instructions

before the vote commences. PINs are strictly for personal use by voters and

must not be shared with anyone.

If an employee believes they are eligible to vote and does not receive a

PIN, or requires any assistance to vote, they may contact the Ontario

Labour Relations Board (OLRB) Help Desk (see hours and contact information

below). If no one answers, employees should leave a detailed message with

their full name, contact information, and OLRB case number, and a Vote Officer

will respond to the message as soon as possible.

OLRB Help Desk Hours of Operation:

June 13, 2024 – 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM
